Oh my gosh last night was AWESOME!!!
For those of you who don't know last night I went to a We As Human and Family Force 5 concert last night. Now before I can really get into how TOTALLY AWESOME it was, I need to do a little explaining. A few years ago I kind of totally gave up and insisted on pretty much never going to concerts again. The reason for this is because I'm one of the craziest people in the world since I can't stand the thumping the bass causes in your body. For me it always seems to go straight to my chest and I just hate the whole feeling. It's annoying and feels like it's messing with my body. Due to all that I haven't been to many concerts and the last one I went to I didn't even stay all the way through because the thumping was terrible. That concert was at the very least a year ago. After that concert I had totally given up. I was not going to go to another concert again because it wasn't worth it and I was never able to enjoy it...
Or at least so I thought.
A little while back my cousins and all kept telling me about this place they had started going to that the bass was like nothing, you couldn't even feel it. They kept bugging me saying I should go and try it out and all that.
You should know they had been saying the bass wasn't bad at every single other concert they managed to get me to go to... and you all just heard how well those all went..
Well about a month ago everyone was really bugging me about going to a concert at that place... way more than usual. That's when I found out that We As Human was going to be playing there.
I absolutely love We As Human, they're literally up in my top 3 bands, especially when it comes to rock n roll.
So already long story short, with the help of the fact We As Human was going to be there, they all got me to go.
For the first time in my life I finally got to enjoy myself at a concert! I loved it! The place was the coolest venue I've ever seen! It was even cooler than my family was describing it. There were four acts that played all together, V-Rose, We As Human, Flame, and Family Force 5. I was back at We As Human's merch table for most of V-Rose's performance but overall she sounded really good. I got myself an awesome We As Human necklace and a We As Human sticker for my car. |3
While me and my mom were at their merch table the coolest thing happened.
We As Human walked right by us.
At that point I was fangirling on the inside and already super excited. I mean they just walked around the place as if they were just... there! Thankfully everyone was cool and no one like charged them like a bunch of mad people. XD But still! They were a mere arms length away from me and just... SQUEE. Gosh.
After getting my We As Human merchandise everyone met down back in the crowd. I caught the last song or two of V-Rose and then...
Not too long after V-Rose was done.
It was time.
We As Human comes on stage and instantly starts off by playing Sever, which is my favorite song of theirs. I absolutely loved their playlist for the night! It pretty much consisted of all of my favorite songs.
(I'm probably going to mix up the order they played them in. >.< Oh well... I'm not a perfect fangirl.)
Take The Bullets Away
and I Stand
^ That my friends is one awesome playlist. Just. Yes.
Not only did I love the songs they chose but oh my gosh they were just absolutely awesome!! Their energy was amazing! They were so comfortable on stage and nice! They even joked around a bit and complimented the crowd. I'm telling you guys these guys are the best.
Because of them I had the best concert experience of my life so far! I rocked out and had such a blast it's unreal.
And things just got better and better from there.
Later after We As Human had finished playing, I asked mom to go get me a water. A little while later she comes running back all excited. When she went back to go get the water she found out We As Human was at their merch table signing. We got my brother and rushed back there. I'm going to let you all know now I love Justin Cordle, their lead singer, and after getting to meet him last night. Oh my gosh. The dude is amazing.
After waiting in line we finally got our turn. I walk up all nervous and excited with a poster in my hand and say hi.
Justin looks over and smiles and is like, "Hey! How's it going?" In a way like he's known me for a long time and we're old friends that haven't seen each other in a while. He signs our stuff and we try to get a picture. Sadly my brother's ipod camera sucks, and mom's phone didn't work out either. Due to the camera issues, we ended up taking kind of long, I kept apologizing, knowing I'm holding up the line and that the band was probably kind of in a hurry to get signing done like every other band out there. Unlike other bands though, as I'm saying sorry for holding up the line, Justin is all cool about it and just like; "Don't worry about it. This is what we're here for."
I mean come on guys.
How many bands do you know that are that cool, nice, and just awesome when signing?
I don't know any. Most people just want to scribble their names on your stuff and get to the next person so they can be done. We As Human seemed like they genuinely wanted to hang out and get to know their fans and let them have a good time.
The whole experience was just amazing. I wish I would have been able to like just go backstage with those guys and just hang out and talk for the whole night, they were that nice and cool and just.. OMG. I don't even have words to describe it. They're just some of the coolest guys ever, especially Justin.
I can't wait until they come back so I can do it all again. I just hope next time I can get a little more time to talk with them a bit.
In a nutshell last night was basically one of the best nights of my life, and most of it was all thanks to We As Human.
I'm even willing to start going to concerts again as long as they're at that venue.
As for normal life, my last final of the semester is this Wednesday and then I'm done with college until the end of January. Hopefully that will mean I'll actually have some time to draw again.
OMG WHY ARE ALMONDS SO DISGUSTING. I JUST TRIED ONE AND OMG.
HOW DO PEOPLE EAT THESE THINGS?
